Thank you to everyone who attended our 26th annual VNPA conference! It was wonderful to see everyone. Many great ideas came out of meaningful discussions about opportunities for member involvement.

One idea brought forward by Susan Sykes was a press release for our local news organizations informing them of your conference attendence. Suggested wording below:

On Thursday and Friday, March 31st and April1st, ______your name(s) _____ ( or "many of our local Nurse Practitioners") from ____site of work___________ attended the 26th Annual professional conference of the Vermont Nurse Practitioner Association, at the Stoweflake Mountain Resort, in Stowe, Vermont. This annual conference is attended by Nurse Practitioners/Advance Practice Registered Nurses, from across the state of Vermont and many neighboring states. This year's topic was "LANDSCAPES OF CARE: Optimizing Health for Rural & Urban Populations" with keynote speaker, Cindy Cooke, DNP, FNP-C, FAANP President, American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Additional sessions in the day and a half program included pharmacology updates, antibiotic stewardship, substance abuse/misuse assessment skill development, cancer prevention, Physical Therapy for pelvic pain, management of chronic insomnia, agricultural health issues, care for syncope and adverse childhood experiences. Conference participants earned continuing education credit required for continued licensure, improvement of their clinical care and practice by staying abreast of current practice guidelines and advancements, and benefit from networking with other Nurse Practitioners from across the state.
