Posted about 6 years ago by Amy O'Meara

We welcome all clinicians and healthcare staff to a free, one-hour, live webinar on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at 2:30 p.m. EST that will equip NPs to clearly define for patients and stakeholders the role and impact of the nurse practitioner in health care.

Tess Judge-Ellis, DNP, FAANP, associate clinical professor at the University of Iowa College of Nursing, will discuss Time and NP Practice: Naming, Claiming, and Explaining the Role of Nurse Practitioners, and cover the following objectives:

  • Explain the uniqueness of the nurse practitioner role
  • Identify skills and practices associated with nurse practitioners that take time, yet yield cost savings
  • Create a nursing-centric elevator speech to support role promotion

Clearly defining one’s role in health care is essential to building cohesive health care teams that optimize time, clarify scope of practice, and ensure positive patient experiences. If you’d like to hone your communication skills and learn new strategies for naming, claiming and explaining the role of the nurse practitioner, then register today!

This activity is approved for 1.0 contact hour(s) of continuing education by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Activity ID 18013039. This activity was planned in accordance with AANP CE Standards and Policies.
