The UVM Office of Primary Care and AHEC Program are offering a new tele-education program to assist with the management of patients with chronic pain.

Project ECHO was developed at the University of New Mexico over a decade ago and has spread to over 1000 “hubs” around the world. The program assembles a cohort of clinicians to collaborate through distance learning on a set schedule to learn from experts and from one another in a case-based format, using actual cases from their own practices. The original program focused on primary care management of Hepatitis C in rural New Mexico.

Faced with a shortage of pain specialists in Vermont, we are planning chronic pain as the focus of our inaugural UVM Project ECHO cohort, which will begin in April 2018.

Please review the attached flyer and registration form. We are able to offer a small stipend to participating practices (one per practice regardless of the number of participants from that practice).

Project ECHO requires access to a computer, Internet access, and a webcam.

This program has limited enrollment. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign up today!
