Dear Vermont AANP Member,
As part of continued efforts to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic the Vermont Legislature has recently enacted legislation appropriating funds from the Coronavirus Relief Fund to programs benefitting health care providers and their patients.
House Bill 965 contains appropriations for various health care and human services programs, including $275 million for the Health Care Provider Stabilization Grant Program. This program shall disburse grants using a needs-based application process to health care providers who are located in and delivering services in Vermont. Providers may seek grant funding for COVID-19-related lost revenue and for specific expenses incurred due to COVID-19. The application period will be open until August 15, 2020. Please visit program website for more information.
House Bill 966 contains appropriations for broadband connectivity programs. This act establishes the COVID-Response Line Extension Customer Assistance Program to provide financial assistance to help with costs associated with extending telecommunications lines into homes in unserved locations. Financial assistance is limited to no more than $3,000 per customer. Health care providers may apply for a grant on behalf of a patient residing in Vermont. Please visit program website for more information on eligibility requirements and application form.
AANP continues to monitor COVID-19 related legislative and regulatory changes in Vermont and will provide updates to our members as we learn of changes relevant to NP practice.
