APRN seat open on Vermont BON please share far and Wide

Posted over 2 years ago by Michelle Wade

An exciting opportunity is available to help shape the future of your profession in Vermont! The Board of Nursing was created by the Vermont legislature to protect the public health, safety, and welfare by setting standards for issuing licenses, licensing qualified applicants, and regulating the practice of license holders BON Administrative Rules.

The Office of Professional Regulation is recruiting for an APRN position on the Board of Nursing. Board members oversee licensure and regulation of the profession as well as provide expert assistance to our Enforcement Unit when reviewing and investigating complaints of unprofessional conduct. Join fellow practitioners and OPR to provide this important service to your community, the State and the public at large.

Applicants must be residents of Vermont. All board members are appointed by the Governor and are appointed for staggered five-year terms, serving not more than two consecutive terms, as regulated by statute.

The board typically meets on the 2nd Monday at 9:00 am on a monthly basis. OPR provides a $50.00 stipend per meeting. All meetings are remote via the Microsoft Teams platform at this time. Once in-person meetings reconvene, mileage reimbursement is provided, as applicable, along with refreshments during meetings.

If you would like to be considered for this open position, please submit an application to the Governor's Office.

Additional information regarding board appointments is found on our website. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions on this opportunity.

Best Regards,
