Hello VNPA Members & Followers,
I am attaching two opportunities here for your information. The first is a Precepting Survey for a research study, and the second is information about the NH ECHO on SUD, including a Flyer and registration link.
Benefits and barriers to precepting nurse practitioner students - survey for research
My name is Mary Ellen Roberts. I am the principal investigator for a study on nurse practitioners and the benefits and barriers to precepting nurse practitioner students. My colleagues and I are studying certified nurse practitioners and the characteristics and factors associated with the preceptor role. The study would require participants to complete a one-time survey. This survey gives insight into the role of the preceptor and can assist in preparing future nurse practitioner students with ways to promote the preceptor role and develop programs and incentives to encourage nurse practitioners to precept students.

Limited series: SUD ECHO: Integrated Approaches to Co-Occurring Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health

Good morning,

I hope this email finds you well!

I am reaching out from the Institute for Health Policy and Practice at the University of New Hampshire. We have an upcoming learning series targeting nurse practitioners, amongst other providers, who work with individuals with co-occurring substance use disorder and mental health in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and Northern New York. We are hosting our 6th cohort of the Substance Use Disorder ECHO, titled the SUD ECHO: Integrated Approaches to Co-Occurring Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health. I am hoping the flyer for this series could be distributed to NPs from Vermont to help us recruit for this program. Additionally, we will be offering CEUs for this program.

I have attached the flyer to this email and included the registration link here.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Warm regards,

Sophie Weider
