Toolkits for National Immunization Awareness

Posted almost 10 years ago by Callan Janowiec

In preparation for National Immunization Awareness Month (August), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in partnership with the National Public Health Information Coalition (NPHIC), recently released a 4-week communication toolkit. Designed to assist public health entities and advocates with communicating the importance of immunizations, the toolkit features a different population each week; babies and pregnant women; back to school; college and young adults; and adults.

With many schools starting in August, now is a good time to encourage advocates to begin reminding parents now to schedule their children's vaccinations before physicians, clinics, or health department schedules fill up.

The toolkits include key messages, sample media materials, social media content, and event ideas. There are also logos and banners for each weekly theme to place on your websites and social media platforms.
