H.R.4015 - SGR Repeal and Medicare Provider Payment Modernization Act of 2014113th Congress (2013-2014)

Fresh from AANP policy meeting in DC:
Boehner and Pelosi worked on a deal to eliminate sustainable growth rate (SGR) for Medicare in a closed members only session. Resulted in an unprecedented move to include provider neutral language for funding and removing SGR. Received close to 400 votes in the house!!!!!! Total coup day for NP profession. The first time that NPs have been fully recognized as an essential provider of cost effective and quality primary health care. Now in the senate but does not have a number yet in the senate.
